The Skin Cancer Foundation’s worldwide influence in promoting sun safety keeps growing. Some 140 sun protection products abroad, from sunscreens and sun umbrellas to automotive window films, have now earned the Foundation’s International Seal of Recommendation. On a recent trip to Italy, Foundation President Perry Robins, MD, and two Board members, Vice President Deborah Sarnoff, MD, and Senior Vice President C. William Hanke, MD, were strolling down a street in Florence when they spotted a large sign in a pharmacy window showing the International Seal on the sunscreen product Labo Solare.

“Our reputation precedes us,” declared Dr. Robins. “It’s great to see that even abroad, retailers and consumers now recognize our Seal of Recommendation as an important shorthand for sun safety and effectiveness.”
