Term Definition
ulceration

Show the signs of an ulcer: an area of skin where the tissue has eroded. Ulcers are concave, and usually accompanied by pus and necrotic tissue.

 
UV indexAn estimate of the peak amount of ultraviolet rays reaching the earth’s surface at noon.
 
UVAThe longest ultraviolet rays, having a wavelength of 320-400 nanometers.
 
UVBThe shorter ultraviolet rays, having a wavelength of 290-320 nanometers
