The Skin Cancer Foundation would like to thank the students in Susan Rehkamp’s 2nd grade class at Burgess Elementary School in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, for their generous donation.

"Each year, for probably the past 16 years, my 2nd grade class sells pencils," said teacher Susan Rehkamp. "Then the students come up with 14 charities, and each of those charities gets 10 dollars.

"Skin cancer was very big this year," she said. "We do discuss the dangers of too much sun."

The students' donation comes at the end of a unit on doing good deeds, added Susan. "We talk about all the reasons why we give to others."
