The Louisville, KY Tour stop at the Rite Aid off Bardstown Road kept us VERY busy. When we arrived we were greeted by several smiling faces—numerous people were excitedly awaiting our arrival. One patient told us she’d just learned about the Tour the week before: "I read about the Tour in my Fitness magazine. I looked it up and sure enough you were coming!"
Also there to greet us were three volunteers from The James Brown Cancer Center, Jaime, Rachelle, and Ann. Without their efforts, the event would not have ran as smoothly or been as successful. Thanks, ladies!
Laura Klein, MD, and Denise Puthuff, MD, spent the day onboard the RV. During the six-hour event, the doctors stayed busy with a steady flow of patients, performing 75 screenings and detecting 28 suspected skin precancers and 20 suspected nonmelanoma skin cancers.
