The Road to Healthy Skin Tour is making an effort to reach new cities this year and we were pleased to get a last-minute call asking us to bring the tour to Sarasota, FL. Fortunately we had an open day in the schedule so we headed west and stopped at the Institute for Advanced Medicine, a facility that houses several medical offices, a full service gym, and other facilities to help member of the community maintain an active, healthy lifestyle. Our medical team today included Paul Brannan, MD, his wife, Heidi Anderson, MD, and their PA-C, Monica Wrobel. It was a full, non-stop day for all that resulted in the screening of 70 participants and the detection of 19 suspected basal cell carcinomas, 11 suspected squamous cell carcinomas and 51 suspected skin precancers.
Given the short lead-time to organize the event, we had a great turnout today and were happy that we could make it to Sarasota. Both doctors and the PA were a great team to work with. They were very organized and excited to have the tour.
