When his brother-in-law urged Peter to get a mole checked, Peter never imagined it would be melanoma, a dangerous skin cancer. But it was.
In July, 2022, our Destination Healthy Skin RV made its way across five states, where we provided 274 free skin cancer screenings.
In June, our dermatologists collectively donated 35 hours of their time to conduct more than 350 skin exams. They identified 127 potential skin precancers and skin cancers, including four suspected melanomas.
In May 2022, our volunteer dermatologists screened 263 participants across four states and Washington, DC, putting in over 39 hours of screening time. And we’re just getting started!

From August 1 to October 31, our amazing volunteer dermatologists screened 780 people and identified 167 potential skin cancers and precancers, including 8 suspected melanomas.
As of October 2, 2021, our Destination Healthy Skin program has provided more than 500 free skin cancer screenings around the country. We’re on the road until November.
